The longest running sellout streak in NCAA history began on November 3, 1962 at Memorial Stadium, Lincoln, Nebraska when the Nebraska Cornhuskers, under Head Coach Bob Devaney, hosted the Missouri Tigers. It was Devaney's seventh game of his first year coaching at Nebraska. On Saturday, September 26, 2009, 47 years later - under Head Coach Bo Pelini, the Nebraska Cornhuskers hosted the Louisiana - Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns, celebrating 300 Consecutive Memorial Stadium Sellouts with a record 86,304 fans in attendance.
